Here is how you use it:
First, you need to access RiskTutor’s home page. You either go there directly using a user name and password or you go through an "access" web site (i.e. Partners Financial, Highland Capital, IFN, etc.)
Once you get to RiskTutor’s home page, all of the tools you need are there. The first thing you want to identify is the Quick Links To Knowledge Tools bar at the top of the page.

When you click on this bar, you can scroll down to the feature you want and "jump" to it. You can also get to the tools from the icons on the home page, but Quick Links To Knowledge Tools is faster.
Right below the Quick Link bar is the Underwriting Coaching button. This is the key to best underwriting expertise in the life insurance industry. As a user of RiskTutor, you have unlimited access to this expertise. Just click on the icon, type in your question and send the email. Your question will be answered within hours! This feature alone adds a whole new level of expertise to your underwriting skills.
Here Are The Primary Tools:
In addition to underwriting coaching, here are the primary underwriting tools you can access from RiskTutor’s home page:
Underwriting Strategy Tutor button: This is really two tools, screening questions and medical information. You click on What Should I Ask to get the list of 45 key questionnaires. Please note that you can use the questionnaires from your computer screen, print a blank copy for taking notes or email them to a client or associate.
Pharmacy Tutor button: Important medications from an underwriting perspective are color-coded: Green, Yellow or Red. Don’t guess when it comes to medications. Look them up in Pharmacy Tutor. Search by generic name, brand name, first letter or what they treat (i.e. hypertension).

Best Case Tutor button: Take your screening information put it into a form you send to underwriters for quotes. Just find the questionnaire that fits your underwriting problem, fill it out and send it! Most home office underwriters send their quotes back in 24 hours.
